My boyfriend and I have been serious for approximately 1 1/2 years now ( I am 19; He's 23). We also live together, something that both our parents are aware of and approve of. I will be at his parent's house on Christmas morning, because my bf is taking me to the airport later that day so that I can fly home to see my family for xmas ( I'm from the Caribbean) He is flying out on the 26th to stay with my parents for a while. I'm fairly close to his parents; I've stayed over at their house a lot and I talk with them fairly often. My bf has told me that his mother has gotten me gifts...and I feel as though I should get his parents something, especially so, because i'll be there on xmas day. But I have no idea what to get them or his sister who's around my age. Any ideas??

A gift certificate to a restaurant they like. For the sister, something you would like for yourself.

You can never go wrong with gift cards. But, if you want something more personal, think back to conversations you've had with them. Do you remember them mentioning any items that you know they have not yet bought themselves? Think of there hobbies or favorite things to do. Do they enjoy cooking? cookbooks. Do they enjoy sports? Sports stuff. Do they enjoy movies? Get a netflix subscription. hope this has helped. best wishes-_mady_-

why not both you and your partner buy them a gift together? this way you can put more money into the gift and buy something they like.Mums always like a nice big boquet of flowers, dads always like a book, something humours like the sound of laughter or anythign written by a comedian- or instead of a book, get him a dvd of a comedian, dads like a good laugh. For the sister, she prob has everything she needs so just get her a gift voucher for superdrug or a music store. Its the thought that counts, flowers a dvd and gift voucher may not seem much but means alot

find out what their favorite restuarant is, than get them a certificarte for dinner for two. make sure you include drinks and the tip. what I do when I do this for my parents is include the price of two of their most expensive meals, then add the the tip. don't do the drinks because of their driving and my mom drives because she's a diabetic.

I also think a nice bottle of wine always goes down a treat. I have also jsut been to Myer today and all the really lovely Xmas decorations are on special. Perhaps get them a really nice decoration for their tree also. That way it sort of cements you into their Xmas festivities every year, its very Xmas appropriate and you can choose something that really shows your personality!. You can also get them a different one every year if you are together for that long!
