I ordered my grandparents a photo book from Wal-Mart, but it won't be in until after Christmas. Should I get them something else or what?

Yeah, you probably should, even if it's something "small," like a box of chocolates. And you should probably tell them that you ordered them a photo book and it will be arriving after Christmas.

No I wouldn't bother, just send them a card or give them a quick call on the day of.For older people--hearing your voice is more important than a gift anyways. They would much rather hear from you over a gift.

For grandparents I would say yes. Write an IOU note for the photo book and get something else small to give them. Maybe some nice Xmas cake or gift card to eat out somewhere you know they like. Same thing happened to me when ordering a book from Amazon. It's going to be late but that's life. Got to roll with the punches.

take two or three pictures from what you put in your book... and staple them together as if they were a book... then when they go to flip to the next page you could write... to be continued.. and when they look puzzled say the rest is coming a few days late ? sorry? |
