| My son got several cards for his baby shower that had money or gift cards. I don't know how to word a thankyou.. with the outfits I could say how cute it was. The money and gift cards have mostly bought diapers, wipes, baby food.. ya know.. the essential stuff.. nothing "fun". Any ideas what to write in these cards? |

| How about commenting about the "generous" gifts and how helful it was taking care of all the sundry things that are "new" expenses when you have a baby (like the diapers, wipes, etc).or LOL fib a little and say it'll be the start of a college fund. |

| Thank you so much for the very generous shower gift. We used it to get some essential things he needed so it was very appreciated and used with gratefulness.Thank you for your generous gift. We have decided to open a savings account for "junior" and your generosity made a very fine start for his future.Thank you for your shower gift. We were able to get all the last minute essentials for junior to make his homecoming comfortable and happy. We really appreciated being able to choose the items he needed. |

| Well, we usually say in response to cash gifts...."Thank you for your presence at our party, as well as your present! It means so much to us that you were here to celebrate the arrival of our blessing." That way the focus is less on material possessions and more about the support and consideration that person had in showing up. |
