what do I get for my mother-in-law who has EVERYTHING?? I she is 53 yrs old, lives in NYC, she buys herself what ever it is she sees and likes, Her B-day was in November and we got her a Tom Tom Navagation for the car, Only reason she didnt buy it for herself 1st was b/c my sister-in-law wouldnt let her,(she knew we were getting it for her) Help!!!!!!Happy HolidaysI REALLY DONT APPRICATE THE CRUDE COMMENTS....GROW UP

Get her a photo blanket. Find a picture of the family at a reunion or maybe a picture of her grandkids and submit it and they make it into a beautiful throw blanket.

You need to get her something she wouldn't expect at all, something that will melt her heart and those things are usually not that expensive, just get her a huge teddy bear or something..Mums (no matter how old) like it when you buy them something soft and loving.

a spa therapy experience or something more exciting depending on your budget...an activity is always a good gift

Honestly I have the same problem with my own parents. Might I suggest giving her something like this. I gave my dad a note for his birthday that told him I would pick him up take him to the Lowell Observatory & dinner. This is something he wanted to do but had never done because he didn't want to do it alone and my mom wouldn't go with him. Maybe your mother-in-law would like to go see a play, or visit a museum something like that and you could go with her and provide a lunch or dinner too. Hope that helps.
