I had a cross necklace that my mother gave me as a gift for looking after her when she had major surgery, antway one day at work this necklace broke but I'm 15 and couldn't afford to get it fixed and an adult at the work said she's get it fixed for me and i wouldnt have to pay her back since I'd know her so long. it's probably been a month or so and everytime she shows up for work there's no necklace, how do I get it back as it has sentimental value for me?

Sometime a little white lie may save face....Tell her you want it back and you parents are going to get it fixed for you.Tell her how much it means to you and you miss it. If she still doesn't turn it over than have your Mom or Dad call her,and ask for it back. Lesson in life, never give or loan your jewelry to any one.

A little fib can do wonders. Tell her that your mother asked after it or wanted you to wear it at christmas time (you know the type of thing) and you dont want to hurt your mother's feelings. Or you could say something like you'd like to pay for it and could she hand it over tomorrow and you'll give her the money. I'd rather borrow the money from a family member or friend to pay her and owe them if you can't afford it. Apart from that, do you have an older friend that can go with you after work to her house?
