Gift cards love em or hate em?

| I can not tolerate when someone give's me a gift card to me that is like WTF you have time to get me a gift card ? why not get the gift instead you'r there at the store, it's like if you know me then you know what i'd like, i have 20 card's lying in the drawer, since last year since idon't like them i am regifting them back to giver. |

| I LOVE THEM!!!! To me...I'd rather get a $30 gift card from my grandmom than an ugly and out of style sweater that I'll never wear. Gift cards are the best because you can get yourself watever you'd like or need. |

| Normally I don't like giving gift cards. This year seems to be a gift card year though. When I ask for ideas for people they all want gift cards. I also have family out of state and we can't get together this year. Mailing a gift card was so much easier and cheaper than sending a gift.As for my husband's family, they are hard to know when we only see them every year at Christmas and Thanksgiving. My brother-in-law just married this summer and his wife never speaks to me. What do you get these two? I settled for bath goodies (I love getting these) for her and a G.C. for him. My niece is so picky so I just got her the G.C. she watned.As for myself there's hardly ever anything I want. When I want it I buy it. Last year my mother-in-law got me my 4th bathrobe. Nothing else. A GC would have been much more preferred. |
