I really don't know what to get her this year. I can't come up with anything else. I've gotten her stuff from Bath and Body Works, clothes, shoes, jewelry, things for her bed, flowers, perfumes, I've even made her CDs. Last year I went online and got her a personalized Bible and one for my stepfather too (God knows I need one with my evil self, lol.) I already told her that I couldn't top that, ain't no way. She told me not to try because its the thought that counts. I hate to get someone the same thing year after year, especially my mama. My sister told me I should get something that she can hang on the wall in her house. I already made her two gospel CDs and bought some perfume, but I don't know what else I can get. My mama is the type of person where I could just say Merry Christmas and she'd be happy. So I want to get her something else really nice. I was thinking I would throw in a Christmas card because she loves little things like that, but I need something else too. Suggestion?Everybody else is getting something from the Dollar Tree in the mall. That's right I said it! lol

Maybe next year, all the kids could chip in to send your parents on a weekend getaway in a nice hotel.

As a mom, I can tell you what she would probably love is an evening out with you alone. Take her to a play, a movie, whatever she likes, and take her to dinner. Talk to her about your day and your life, and listen to her talk about hers. It's a gift she'll treasure always.

I feel your pain, we have the same problem with our mama what do you get the woman that has everything I mean everything. We got her some crocs, cause they're comfy, a John Lennon t-shirt, and a new recliner. Good Luck though!

Find a picture of you and her when you were a little kid. Have a copy made in black and white, or blow it up to a larger size or something similar. Find a nice wooden frame that would look nice hanging on the wall in her house. Write a heartfelt message to her on the back of the frame (on the backing). I'm sure almost any mother would love to receive a gift like that!

I bet your mama would love it if you stopped giving her material items of which she undoubtedly has a houseful by now, and did something for her like set up a weekly visit for lunch or to help her out around the house. Give her a gift card for the grocery store, or something that she can and will definitely use.

the card is a really good idea... I like the commercial on TV, I can't remember what store it's for, but the son is looking for a present for his mom and ends up getting a suit for himself and he looks really nice for her on Christmas day... she is really surprised and happy with how he looks... but has to rip off the price tag of the back of the suit... point being it doesn't always have to be a material gift for her to make her happy... do stuff around the house to take stress off of her... as a mom, that would make my day... the card, a mushy one, too and you're set

What about a personalized calendar for 2008?They make them at Kinkos...Make the calendar with treasured family pictures from when you where a child until the present. Also, maybe you could write her a letter reflecting on the relationship you two have!?IDK.Hopes this helps! Also, maybe she would enjoy some sort of bible versus email subscription....one that tells the versus and leaves the reader with a question to reflect on the message.
