Do you think it is fair that the gift card we sometimes give over the holidays expire. Often times we miss place them and by the time we find them they are no good. We paid OUR hard earned money for these gift cards and it would appear to me the stores are praying we will either lose or forget them. Do you really think the stores are playing fair?I believe cards should be good for two years at least.

what's with the society nowadays? electronic gift cards? you pay money for this sh1t? what happened to ol' good home-made cards, which actually require a little more than entering your credit card number and pressing pay? that's what people appreciated for ages and it won't expire in the internet history as this new age garbage. put a bit of yourself into it and i'm sure others will be way happier than from some commercial gift card...

nah the stores dont play fair, they started doing that when they thought up the idea, i mean its wrong that wen u by it u can only spend ur money there wen u spent like a 100 dolalrs that can buy u a lot more stuff in like 3 or 4 more stores, and the whole expiring thing?! MONEY DOESNT EXPIRE SO THE GIFT CARD SHOULDN'T. sometimes gift cards are a waste of time, but thats wat u gotta do wen all else fails, hope u dont wind up caught in this trap. lol, merry christmas!

then a prudent individual would know to ask about it before purchasing one shouldn't they. Wal-Mart gift cards don't expire. I have had 2 or 3 for over 1 or 2 years and they are still good. With some cards you will be given an activation reciept in case the card doesn't work, is lost or stolen to prove that you were the recepient of the card then the card can be replaced.
