i got my boyfriends parents a snow globe with a wedding couple dancing inside.it plays music and it is ingraved with their names and their anniversary. my boyfriend and i have been dating for a little less than a year but his parents got me something so they must really like me. i was just thinking that this is more a wedding or anniversary gift than a christmas gift so im scared to give it to them. what do you think about this?

By making it a snow globe instead of a picture frame or something like that, you "Christmas"-ized it. It will be a lovely gift. The poster who said it could be taken as a way of indicating you were getting engaged, could be right, so be prepared for that and make sure your boyfriend is to -- so that you both say the same thing if they come to that conclusion (unless you are engaged or something like that. )

Well, it is the thought that counts.Yes it does sound more of an anniversary gift - a very nice thought too, if a little "tacky"Never be scared of giving - just be a little less impulsive next time you go shopping..

I think the gift is great if it was for anniversay or wedding. I think that you should get something that they can both equally enjoy...Art work.... Cd's , Movie... Wine if they drink..Even a gift cards or baskets.

I think you should give it in any case. The fact that you made such an effort to prepare such a present is already a good present, so they should be happy.

at first i thought it would be more for an anniversary, but then since it is a snow globe i think it would be a very nice and "thoughtfull" gift. the ingravement is the perfect thouch. i say give it. happy holidays and quit second guessing. go with your heart not our thoughts.
