In your opinion, do you think someone giving you a four foot teddy bear for your 3 mth old is a bit over the top? Quite personally I think that it is a) to big of a gift to give someone without consulting them first as it takes up alot of space b) a waste of money as a 3mth old can not play with or enjoy it and wouldn't for a few yearsI have decided to donate it to the Ronald McDonald house so a sick child can atleast enjoy it but wanted to know what others thoughtButterflyspy...can you please explain how giving a toy to a child in need is rude.

well you shouldn't have donated it...It was just a thought. The kid could have made friends with it (as children do)I still have a teddy that I got for Christmas when I was 2.I bet it cost **** loads too...

You are doing the right thing. A stuffed toy that big could actually suffocate a baby. Giving it to someone who is older, and could really use it makes a lot of sense.

I think that its a pretty thoughtless present to buy a 3 month old. Some people just like buying 'showy' things for others as they wrongly believe that bigger is better! Glad you have decided to donate it.

UGH...it got sold in a yard sale...too bad i didnt think of what you are doing with yours Sad good ideai do appreciate everything i get but i think a little more thought would have been nice in this situation...like maybe diapers, lol

follow what u think is best, but as u say a 3 month old probably wont start playing with the toy till arournd three. The sick children will probably love it as they are mostly old enough to enjoy playing with these kinds of things. Maybe your donation will give a child hope.

I'd keep it....you'd be surprised what it will mean to the child in the future....you will probably find your child sitting on it's lap "reading" it a story....mine did this with his extra large teddy. It's one of my fav photos.

I think you rude and ungrateful. In a few years your child will love it plus its the perfect addition to any nursery.Whats wrong with you?Your really going to hurt their feelings. It came from the heart.
