| Return it, with a letter thanking her for the thoughtfulness and her kindness throughout your relationship with her son, but since you are no longer in a relationship you do not feel comfortable accepting her generous gift. |

| Wow, that's a tough one... I think a lot of it depends on your relationship with her, and also on how the breakup was. Do you get along well with her & consider her a friend too, or did you never really get beyond 'my boyfriend's mom' and 'my son's girlfriend'& have you exchanged only a few words? In the first case I'd be more comfortable keeping it, in the second you can probably consider the relationship with her -whatever little there was- gone along with your bf, and I would think it more appropriate to return it. (although if your relationship is good, then it's also easier to call her and talk it over, offer to return it and see what she says)Also if you broke up with your bf as friends it's more okay to keep it, if it was a bad blowup and you two now hate eachother it would be more appropriate to return any gifts so there's no ties or bonds.Sorry I can't give you a yes or no answer, especially since I do not know any of the details of the situation and your relationship with her, but I hope reading the different choices helps you make a decision. Good luck! |
