Is this a strange gift for my mother who is grieving?

My mom has had her animals for over 15 years, and her cat just recently died the other day Her dog is also starting to get worse each day and she might have to put him to sleep before he starts suffering...These animals are very special to her - and to all of us since we grew up with them and loved them.. I wanted to get my mom something nice to remember her animals so I made some ornaments for her Christmas tree on this site and ordered them. It costed like $20 for them both. I'm not planning on giving her the one for her dog (until he's gone) but I am sadly 100% sure he will not make it until next year....Do you think this is a strange gift for my mom who is grieving her cat?Here is a picture of what the ornaments will look like once I get themhttp://members.cox.net/pozorrogo1/ornaments.jpgThank you all so much for your opinions Im sitting here crying right now because the pain of losing Polly is just so great. She is a very loved member of our family, eventhough all of us kids have moved out of the house with our own individual lives now... we still love them very muchIm sad for anyone who has to experience the death of such a valued friend! I may cry, but I have every intention of remembering my special friends for the rest of my life. That would be perfect. Those are lovely ornaments and a touching tribute to Polly and Freddy for your mom. They are unique and the pictures of both are very complimentary. If they were for me, I would hang them were I could see them all the time. I think you have done something very special to help your mom remember this sweet furbabies.I lost my 17 year old cat in July and I had an ornament engraved in her memory for myself this Christmas.Purrs and prayers for you, mom and the furbabies. It is always hard to lose a beloved pet. When my 19 year cat had to be put to sleep, I cried for days. She was suffering, however & I couldn't bear it. Back to top
