| I am trying to come up with the greatest anniversary gift to get my husband (because he deserves it so much!!) but I'm really bad at giving gifts. He's an IT guy, likes video games and PC games. He isn't into sports so that's ruled out. I've tried searching for anniversary gifts for men online but everything is sooo cheesy like "Personalized Poems" or "When We First Met Book"... but WTF, what guy would actually want that??? We've got a 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise planned to celebrate our first year together but I want to come up with a gift that will really make him happy. I'd really appreciate your help! I'd like a few guys to answer this, but please be serious when answering. Thanks! |

| You've got a nice vacation planned, so how about something nice and easy. You gals always think that we want you to do something out of this world. Why not plan making dinner together, something to eat that you both enjoy. Something that you both enjoy to drink. Some candles, some great tunes. maybe a fire going. It will make doing the dishes that much more fun, cause being as it is your first anniversary, doing the dishes in the buff is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Gift giving for every occasion is very over rated and it can get more expensive as time goes on. Anniversaries are not to be underscored BUT... you should both concentrate on showing each other your love. Sometimes it's good to buy each other new and improved rings. The occasion is more about the 2 of you being together. Not as much giving gifts. If you continue to make it about what you buy him, he will feel pressured to do the same for you. I guess that's OK if you can afford that every year. We can't. We concentrate on a special day for us together. Both of you should plan to take the day off and spend it together. Is that not what you did the day you got married? .... Seems fitting!!! |

| A scrapbook of your first year together or blow up two of your favorite honeymoon pictures and frame them. The traditional list's first-year theme of paper works well as personalized stationery, gift certificates -- or even airline tickets. The modern list's first-year choice of clocks can range from high-tech travel alarms to grandfather clock showpieces. Year 1 is Paper and as boring as that sounds, there are actually a lot of interesting ideas for gifts. You can subscribe to a magazine or newspaper that interests your partner; buy books and board games or puzzles that you both enjoy. Get tickets to a concert or sports event that you attend together. If you prefer to get a gift that is also an investment, get paintings, vintage comic books or artistic photography. Or you could find photographs either of you two or your partner's past, have them digitally altered to make them look like artwork, or just simply done in black and white. A more pricey option is getting tickets for a trip. Origami and monogrammed stationery are also very personal gifts. |
