I just need some typical Valentines day gift ideas for a guy... i won't go into detail about him much because right now im just searching out the "typical" gifts.... but I am 20 he is 23.... we have been together for about hmmm 11 months "officially" been dating if that is really important for 8 months or so... i guess you could say the day we made it 100% clear we wanted to be together was May 9th.... but we were "dating" before just official in may ha... that whole scenario confuses me but ANYWAYS....About us... we are NOT sexually active... and we do not plan to be... unless we get married of course... Just something we talked about and neither of us want that in this particular relationship... well we want it but we want to save it... we are very very close... we both know that we are meant for each other for a number of reasons... we're best friends and we love each other... we have an awesome strong relationship.. communicate really well and just love each other very muchwe are very serious about each other and our relationship... so ANWAYS... hajust curious as to some ideas to get him for valentines day... just the typical guy gift sort of things right now... figure those out and then i will repost after some answers another question and some info on his charector for ideas specifically for his personality.... but anything would help... and please do not mention any sexual type fantasies or what not... we occassionally go a little farther than making out but not much... and sex is not an option here... thanks...well we go for walks all the time, and right now acctually the temperature here is -9 with a wind chill of -23...so walks are out of the question and we have a buttload of snow on the ground...i live in Iowa..i was thinking of building an igloo and having a candle lit dinner in that... ha...we both love the outdoors... only thing is... is that i have some medical problems ( tmj which causes at the least jaw, neck and back pain ) so shivering in the cold is not a good idea so much....as for poems and things... i am a long time poetry writer... and for some reason i cant get my feelings to flow on paper with him, we occassionally write each other some form of a letter expressing how we feel about each other... its just fun to do... even though we show and tell each other everyday... its just deep thoughts and such..he is a musician as am i and we have already planned on doing a recording together in the future when i am no longer injured.. i have done the picture thing...and thehomemade candle lit dinner...ha we are both cheesy romantics so that is why i am having an issue... i am on a somewhat tight budget being that my injuries take me out of work often.... and i am planning on making something from the heart that matches him personality wise... i just need the typical gifts... but other than candy ha... and for his birthday i had like 100 roses and balloons delivered to his work ha so that has been done....we both are not into materialistic things much ha so thats hard there even though of course the gifts we get each other are i guess materialistic well at least part of the vday stuff will be i'm sure... he isnt too big into fancy colognes as i said ha not materialistic ... down to earth.. ect... ha i was wondering maybe a promise ring but i think i shold save that for our 1 yr??? do you get guys promise rings?? ha .... i got him a silver bracelet for christmas so he has that hahah....AS I SAID I AM GOING TO DO ANOTHER POST OF THINGS THAT HE IS INTO SO LOOK FOR THAT ... THIS POST IS JUST TO GET IDEAS OF THE TYPICAL VDAY GIFTS AND SUCH LOL THANK YOU FOR ALL THE ANSWERS SO FAR THEY ARE GREAT IDEASlol drinks would be fun.... except i cannot go out and drink because i am not old enough... and well he isnt big at all on drinking... ha.. our relationship is different its an awesome different but different than most... and hes not your everyday guy... if you want to learn more i guess to help me out then please email me or acctually if you have messenger send me a message on yahoo its ashleya6487

Firstly, congrats on waiting for marriage, wish I would've done that. As for some gift ideas, depending on his interests, you can go with cd's, dvd's, things for his car if he's into cars, clothing, or even jewelry if he wears it.

Hey, girlfren! You don't hafta get him anything : expensive or otherwise (especially when u are on a tight budget..hehe). Just be yourself. Spend some time with him. Do something that doesn't cost a dime like taking a pleasant walk in the park or something. if you both feel good and strong being together, every single day is Valentine!!! Beats getting awkward every once a year just thinking of getting something materialistic. Heads up, girlfren!

Well you talked quit a bit about your relationship and my hat is off to you for building a strong relationship in a way that your relationship will last BUT? Good things come to those who wait. You did not mention the things that your better half enjoys doing like (his likes and hobbies and what not). I guess if he is in to like computers? Buy him a I pod. Something he can enjoy downloading music to and get lots of use out of while walking, working in the yard, working out etc,,, Or if he is in to being a BIG KID at heart? Buy him one of those remote control helicopter's that he can take out to a field and have fun flying. Something he can can get a kick out of controlling. It's fun for them to learn how to fly the thing. It's fun watching them learn how to fly the thing. I don't know of any guy that would pass up on that toy. My son that is 24 just received one from his wife to be for a Xmas gift and my husband that is 53 wants one so I'm in the works of getting him one for Valentine's day as a gift myself. They are not expensive at all. Always remember... Boys will be boys and their is always a little boy in each man no matter what age. Hope that helps some?

WHOA! That has got to be one of the longest questions (with all the added bits) that I have read (Bit too much detail?)I would visit www.buyagift.com - They have some great day out things ( including ride a ferrari, hot air balloon ride for 2, tours of football clubs, skydiving etc). They can be just for him or for the two of you and you can even get him a gift voucher so he can choose his own if you really are stumped. You can get 20% off with voucher code: 744155You will be able to find something unique which he will enjoy (maybe for both of you) and within any price range. Check it out

Well, congratulations for being in such a beautiful relationship! If materialistic gifts are not what you want try to impress your beloved with good deeds. Help your boyfriend in completing household chores. Finish up a task he hates doing. Cook him a nice meal, write a long love letter, make a collage of your pictures.., he will cherish all these for life. Also send him a bouquet of red roses… try this link for exotic red roses http://www.saharacarehouse.com/CatalogProduct.aspx?catid=2
