We've been together for a year and a half, I'm 18, he's 19. (He's a Marine and I'm a college student living about an hour away from where he lives. We see each other on the weekends and we talk on the phone most nights.)He always has the sweetest gifts for me that are really special and personal: a copy of his dogtags, letters, personalized mix CDs, a song he wrote to play on his guitar for me... I want to give him something that's different. I'm open for some fun, cute, personal gift ideas.Homemade/inexpensive gift ideas are the best, being a college student and all =P Thanks!

Well trying to be creative you can make a chocolate chip cookie ladybug and he will love it. Personalize it with a sweet note and maybe make the little black dots hearts. Hope it helped

The largest card anyone could make: make it out of a scrap book... include all his favorite things.. song lyrics, notes, memories that you both had, photos.... add some movie tickets or gift certificates.

How about a book of "Love Coupons". Examples of offers: special meals, massage, car washes, etc. Let your imagine run rampant!

My boyfriend is in the core as well. I wish I lived near him, he's stationed 2 states away. I shoot film photography so for valentine's day I'm shooting a sexy swimsuit/lingerie calender staring myself. I'm plan on binding it with antique bronze door hinges and laminate everything. For the calendar I'm going to print out generic calendar paper (which will be laminated) so that if you write the dates in with visa pen you can erase them the next year and reuse it. Total project cost: $5 for roll of film, $2-5 for hinges. I thought it would be fun because I rarely see him - and though we talk on the phone on a daily basis it's not the same as being together. This way he'll be able to see me every day and have something to hang up on his wall.It would be more than easy to do the same thing with a digital camera. You can even print everything on nice photo paper at kinkos for like, $4 a print (maybe less). Hope thats helpful

give him a card with a seed in it ..ask him to plant it and grow just like your love ..this is the eco-friendly way. Also homemade stuff works wonders -this is the practical way . Also you can donate some money or volunteer for a day in a oldhome/ makeawish/ cry charity organizations -this is both practical and selfless way of celebrating .

I think men should plan Valentines Day for their women.Way too many women going all out to plan something for their men, and don’t get much in return. Then they are all disappointed. Let your man show his love… Sit back and receive it graciously. We give all year round! So buy him a gift and a card and let him do something special for you. And if he doesn’t, return the gift and give him the card.
