Well...my husband and I didn't find out...we are 29 weeks right now! We were reversed, I wanted to know (not badly but I was sure interested!) and he didn't want to know at all!!! It is a little hard at times but really I don't want an overload of pink (blue is my favourite colour!!!) and often when people know the sex you end up getting tons of blue or pink...like other colours don't exist:) Sometimes I wish I knew for bonding purposes, we have a boy and a girl name picked but when I talk to my belly I always say "hi baby" and if I knew the sex, I could already be calling the baby by the name we have chosen. Again...not really a big deal, just sort of neat! As for the shower...I have two sisters who have children already, the oldest found out she was having a boy...the whole shower was blue and she got tons of blue clothing. My other sister didn't find out and at her shower she got lots of books, diapers and accessories, bedding, baby gates, bath stuff and some clothing...basically she got a big variety and some things that she really needed while my other sister got mostly clothing. I am looking forward to the surprise...I am using it as extra motivation to push the baby out...I have to get the baby out to see what sex it is!!! Hoe this helps somewhat!!!

We didn't find out and I found the anticipation really exciting. Hearing "it's a boy!" was just the neatest thing on earth for me. But, I was fine with having gender neutral nursery and clothing for the first few weeks- then we went out and stocked up on little boy things. One benefit is at a shower people tend to get more practical gifts rather than loads of cute baby clothes that won't fit for long, which was nice for us. I can definitely understand wanting to know though- sometimes it did drive me a little crazy. But I still felt completely prepared for the baby- boy or girl. I think it just depends on your personality and if you don't mind a little anticipation than the surprise is fun.

I knew what I was having this time and I was pleased to be prepared. I think next time I wont find out, but that is because I may have to have a c-section (complications during last labour Sad )and I will already know the birthday of the baby so I want something to be a surprise other than just the weight.

It's up to you. I personally didn't want to find out, cuz these day it seems like everyone does and then there's no surprise to it. Also, I didn't want all girl or all boy stuff at my shower. Yes, I would love to have an all pink high chair, playpen, carseat, and stroller, but it's not at all practical, in my opinion, if you are thinking about possible having more kids in the future. This way, I have all neutral baby basics now for if I ever have more kids.
