|
|
| how long should you wait to send them? I wanted to wait for our professional pictures to get back (couple weeks) so that I can use them in the thank you's.....also- for the people who gave money- I don't necessarily want to put "thank you for the money", it seems tacky- but I know you're supposed to write the gift on your card?? |

| For those who gave money, You could say "Thank you for your generous gift, we plan on using it for xxx." Make it personal and tell the people that gave you money what you will be putting it towards. Say that it will be very much appreciated as you start your life together. I have never heard of professional photos coming back in only two weeks, that being said, don't wait much longer than that. I would plan on having all of them done in a couple months time. Thank you's are something that are best when personal and timely. Good luck. |

| I think if you are waiting for pictures to come in, that's fine. Just get your thank you's out as soon as possible. For monetary gifts, I usually just put something like, "Thank you for your very generous gift." And then tried to say something that we might use the money for. "We will put it towards something nice for the house." Or you could be more specific. "Now we can get that new _____ we've had our eyes on." Happy writing! |

| Just send out thank yous as soon as you can write them out. No one cares about your wedding after it is over and all you need to do is send a thank you and get it over with. What is the big deal???? |

| For money, just write "Thank you for the generous gift." It is tacky to mention dollar amounts. Also, wait until you get the pictures to write your notes. That is fine. You have 3 to 6 months to get your notes out. (Of course, the sooner the better.) |
