| Ivy league school, in the top 5 for your major. Very small scholarship. Your college fund will be spent in 1 yr. You'll have to go $20K in debt the 2nd yr. But if you do good, the last 2 yrs are paid. If you don't do really well, it's $60K more debt. Good college, full tuition and books for 4 yrs. It's close to home and you'll have to live with your parents for 4 more yrs. OK college. Not great for your major but you could become a big fish in a small pond. Full ride - tuition, books, housing, meals. You won't have to live at home but you will have to share a dorm room. Your parents have said that if you don't use all your college fund, they'll give you what's leftover for a graduation gift.Which would you choose? |

| Hmm. Well, i guess it depends on personal preference. I would defininately eliminate the OK college first off. Even if you have a full scholarship, it is obviously not the right choice for your major. Eliminate that option quickly, because a poor program for your major will eliminate future job options. If you really detest the place you live, I'd say that you should pick the Ivy League. If you're studying for an undergraduate degree to be something pre-professional, I'd pick the best possible school, because medical schools and law schools are notorious for choosing people who attend better schools. But overall? I would pick the good college. You may be at home, but you won't be in debt like your classmates. Hope that helped! |
