|
|
| Hey guys, I am going to college in September in Connecticut and I need a car to come home sometimes, to get to work while in school, and for a bunch of other things. I am only 17 right now and I work part time, but there is no way that I am going to be able to afford a car on the salary I make. I got alot of money in financial aid and scholarships so I am trying to get my mom to put some money up for me for a graduation gift, but she keeps saying how she is struggling with money. But I got 28,000 dollars a year for finanicial aid and a 7000 dollar scholarship a year. I feel like I saved her so much money and she still won't give in. What am I supposed to do if I really need a car with no one to help me out? |

| In college, you have no need for a car. You only want one. |

| I agree with the first answer and also you just need to study for now and worry about a car later. |

| What you don't need is a "new" car. Check the local paper or net for deals on used cars. Remember to to your homework and know the type and price you want a car for. NEVER say how much you can afford because they will find a car you can afford rather then the best deal. When you choose the car you want have it's state inspection done as a condition of purchase before you buy it that way you will know it is in safe working order and you won't get stuck with a hugh repair bill as soon as you buy it. |

| It would be A LOT CHEAPER to take a taxi than buy a car. By the time you buy a car and do the maintenance and gas you will be broke. All your friends will want to use it and never pay you!!! So your stuck with the billsEH??!!! I know....ive spent more on cars than houses and have nothing to show for it!!! |

| Agree with answers 1 and 2. You have already been given a virtually free education in grants scholarships and financial aid. How long do you expect a free ride? Your Mom, nor anyone else, owes you a college education, so you haven't saved her any money at all. You might try getting a car the old fashioned way, earn it. |

| You should save a lil money what ever you can and go to a car auction. <http://acebrad.viligent.hop.clickbank.net/ > this link is the best place to find these on the web. def the best way to find a cheap car. |
