My fiance wants to add a playstation three to our wedding registry from walmart. Granted, him and I both play video games and it would be a welcomed gift. But i'm not sure if its something we should put on our registry. What do you guys think? We don't have many items on our registry (we already live together).

Haha! My fiance put a bunch of computer crap on ours! It's perfectly fine to do that! If you both want it, maybe several people can go in and buy it together...

Ok, an unusual addition but go ahead and add it. Just because it's on the registry that doesn't mean anyone will buy it. And all you can do is ask |

Mine did the same thing he also asked at best buy if they have a wedding registry. In this day and age it is not the first time some one has done this. Don't sweat it. and hey maybe you will get it. |

from my understanding of wedding registry etiquette you are allowed to put anything you want on there. PS3's are great not only for games but for blue ray disc players as well!

proper etiquette is actually just to put down items you need for the kitchen such as dishes, pots pans, for the bathroom such as towels, and for the bedroom such as sheets. you can do whatever you want though.. you guys can register for that, but be prepared that some people may talk about you behind their back saying that they think it is tacky. but other people might not care, and someone may actually buy it for you!

Yes you can register for fun impractical stuff. It doesn't all have to be towels and dishes.

Sure you can register for it. My guess is that if one of his buddies doesn't buy it for you, no one will...haha.If I saw it on a registry, I would chuckle, but not buy it. I (and I think most people) like to buy something a little more practical.

More than likely you won't get it and people may give the registry a double take. Why not just ask for gift cards, then you can save those up and buy it yourself.

Well if you two already have everything else you need like china, vaccum cleaner, coffee maker, etc. Then I dont see the harm in that.

Put it on there. If someone questions it, tell them that you aren't really expecting someone to get it for you, but in order to get the discount on items in the end, you need to add it now. Of course if someone does get it for you- Awesome!!

If it's something you are going to use together, go for it. We were thinking of putting a blu-ray player on ours. And heck, I want a PS3 more than my future husband.I also want to put a video camcorder on there so we can use it on the honeymoon. But the only registry we have going on right now is through Liberty Travel.

My fiance and I scanned a gamecube. He already had a PS2 but I love Mario and so we decided we'd really like a gamecube. We scanned board games too. We also scanned (after him having to persuade me) two different HDTVs that were like 600-1000 dollars each. I let him scan those as more of a joke, thinking that no one would buy them but that it would be funny. My MOH had advised us to put the normal stuff on there but also put stuff that you want that is fun. So, I think it's perfectly ok to put a PS3 on your registry. And besides, if people don't like it, they don't have to buy it for you.
