| I've always thought women were the more selfish gender for many reasons. One of those reasons is how Valentine's Day is ALL about women. Wasn't it originally for both men AND women? When I was a child in elementary school, girls and boys exchanged gifts/cards and candy. Once boys become men, and girls become women, Valentine's Day becomes all about what gifts men should give women, and what hoops men have to jump through to keep their women happy. Many women feel entitled to receive gifts on Valentine's Day, while at the same time feel no need to give a gift to her boyfriend or husband. I thought Valentine's Day should be a celebration about both people in the couple, not just one. Are women somehow "more important" or a "better" piece of the relationship?I've actually heard a couple women say that her "gift" in return is that "she'll treat him nice". Are you serious? You should always treat him nice! This man makes a good point:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZGimXbpaTYI just would like to know everyone's opinions on what the guy said in the video...jonasbrothers: You must be very young. Also, you just proved my point about girls being selfish. Thank you! LOL!GOODGRL: Did I ever say men should get "roses" or "balloon bouqets"?Secondly, women do give men flowers and any real man wouldn't love it -- since it came from her. A man getting flowers from his guy friends would be different. But I was talking about a woman getting him a gift a guy would like -- a basketball, a football, a watch, a nice tie, a nice dress shirt, a nice pair of jeans or slacks, some music or dvd's, letters, a nice meal that she can cook for him, etc. |

| Has no one told you about Sex, Beer and a Steak day??? This date is March 20th (and you have missed it this year) and it is the mans version of V-Day. You get sex, beer and a steak no questions asked to make up for the flowers and jewlery. To be honest it is a fare trade... so long as your woman is willing to provide you with it! |

Oh come on get real! Does a guy really appreciate getting roses sent to his work, how about a balloon bouquet , Its geared towards women because we know that men would appreciate getting a nice dinner and some lovin' rather than flowers candy jewelery, so companies gear it towards women because they know men want to make women happy so the men can be happy! |
