I'm invited to my supervisor's super expensive wedding. I don't make much money, but obviously I need to get her something nice. Can anyone think of something(s) I can get that isn't as expensive as it looks? HELP!

A nice picture frame is always safe. They have a really nice one at Bed, Bath, and Beyond where they can put their wedding photo on one side and their invitation on the other!

Why not look on their wedding registry? Registries were practically made for those with a lot of money because they know they have a higher chance of getting the whole china set. You can sort by price and pick something out.If not then chances are no matter what you get, they will know the value of it. Most super wealthy people do. So get them something from the heart...a nice photo frame from things remembered can go a long way especially if you personalize.

$$ is always best but if you don't want to write a check for $20 then get them something small off their registry. I'm sure they have at least a few chep items they registered for. Please stick to the regisrty though. No bride & groom want any more gifts that they have no room for or that they don't even want. DON'T get them a photo album or picture frame. It's a good idea but everyone does that. I have a box full of them in my closet that I will never use!

Find out where she is registered, and buy her something she registered for. They usually have stuff in all different price points on registries.

If you have a Waterford outlet shop near you, you could go there and get a nice piece of Waterford for very little money. I would also check their registry. Usually couples register for both inexpensive and expensive gifts and everything in between.

I’ll have to suggest www.creanta.comThey turn any image, including your favorite photograph into an amazing and affordable hand made painting. Maybe one of her with her fiance. What I liked of them is that they at reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness. Not to mention very, very affordable (they even combine multiple photos into a single painting). I was very impressed with the results. In addition to portrait paintings they also do paintings of pets, landscapes and anything that means something to you (like your first car, favorite vacation spot, etc). They’re the nicest people… because I was late with my friend’s gift, they even hand made a custom card to notify her that a special gift was coming her way. I highly recommend them.Best wishes!!
