anyone know what to do with broken zunes?

i got it as a gift for valentines day...then thursday at school we had a fire drill and my purse was on the floor under my desk and the girl in front of me stepped on it. underneath the screen is cracked and there's no picture when it turn it on, it only stays on for about 5 seconds, and there is no sound. does anyone know if i can send it to the zune company and they can fix it? i don't want to ask my boyfriend where he got it from because then he's going to know it's broken...should i just take it to a best buy or an electronic store with all the accessories, put it back in the box, and maybe they'll do an even exchange?let me know :[yeah i don't want to get rid of it i want to fix it.those are 200 dollar johns i dont want to just throw it away
