Maybe a locket with her name on it and a picture of you and her dad.

A charm bracelet that you can add to as she grows. A bracelet or necklace with her name on it. Love the locket idea. She may not notice or appreciate them now but she will cherish them forever as soon as she grows a little older. You could also get her a nice jewelry box. The kind you open and a dancer is spinning inside. They can put her name on it. Maybe write a poem or such for her and have it framed. My mom did this with the first letters of my name and had it framed when I was small. I still have it and love it. Hope these ideas help!!!

Unless you plan on putting it away for her until she old enough to understand the meaning I wouldn't at 2 they are very busy. how about something a bit more practicle.

When my daughters turned one I bought them an adult sized bracelet and had there names engraved on the top and a loving message engraved on the back. I put them in the babybooks until they get older. Otherwise if you want something she can have now, maybe try a blanket with her name stitched on it, or a stuffed animal with the year or her name.

we used cut squares of all the cutest parts of her old baby clothes to make a small quilt for her. We also did some iron on photos of when she was born, with grandparents, etc...Lots of resources on how to make quilt online.. it's a realy good thing to do for her and she'll appreciate it when she's older |

You could get her somethig embroidered or monogrammed. I know http://www.universityfashions.com/custom-apparel/baby-apparel.html carries baby items that can be personalized with embroidery. When my daughter was born I purchased one of their blankets and had her birthday, weight, height, etc embroidered on the blanket. I'm now having a son and they said I could send the blanket back to have it embroidered with his info as well. They also have hats for babies.Just a thought. Good Luck
