I go to the Goodwill store and buy house or giftware. Especially if you're near an area with lots of vacation houses or middle-aged people moving out, you can find crystal and china, sometimes in the original boxes, and nice baskets.Cheap! Also the one I go to is a great source for gift bags & etc. People get rid of loads of nice stuff.

I've made alot in the past when i've been on a tight budget....like teas and coffees and bread mixes all for under $10.00, but you spend some time mixing them.Address BooksPicture FramesA Collage of PicsA basket of fun themed things you can get at an Everything's $1.00 store...(like last summer I filled an ice bucket with summer/BBQ things for my sis. It was a great gift that had a lot of different uses.)CandlesGreen grocery bags (you know, the canvas tote's you get at the grocery store, so you don't have to use paper or plastic)Are you buying for a boy or girl? cause that could change things.....

It depends on the age you are buying for. for little kids, they dont care what they get, so the dollar store is fine. for pre-teens and teens, I say a gift basket with perfumes, and candles, and stuff along those lines. (The Icing also has a ten for $10 deal. you cen get alot of great things there!) for adults, I say a basket with house hold stuff. If you know sizes and stuff, you can go to the mall, if you look in clearence, they have really good deals! not even clothes, on anything really!

It depends on the age of the person. I like to give a music CD that I make using my computer with songs that remind me of the person on it. I've had a lot of compliments on them.

Two things work for me when I'm buying gifts on a budget. I try to get something really thought...and I try to stretch that $10 either with a buy one get one free or other coupons. Make a list of their favorite things and hobbies and then try to find something related...you can often go to resale and antique shops for this. If they like to read or a certain author, find a unique edition in a used bookstore. If they're into music, talk with people at the music store to learn about the hottest new bands. Good luck! Once on ebay I got a $20 gift card for just over $10 plus shipping. So ebay might be an idea.
