|
|
I bought my friend a carseat from her baby registry to give her at her baby shower. The only thing is, the box was pretty beat up (they all were at the store), and it's so large and awkward to carry. I bought a giant gift bag to put it in. Would it be okay to give the carseat without the box? There is no accessories or paperwork in the box.I am also going to strap a teddy bear into it because I thought it'd be cute |

| Sure, why not. But, keep the box just in case she happens to get 2 and needs to return it. You know those registries are such a pain sometimes and people don't always use them.Sounds like a cute idea! |

| Absolutely. My Mum did this for her friend who had a baby a few years ago and she strapped a teddy in and put hanging toys on the handle. She also made a diaper bag and packed it with diapers and bottles a onesie and other things including a spa package gift certificate. |

| You should leave it in the box and wrap it nicely so that in case they wany/need to return it, they can. You should also include a gift receipt. |

| I would leave it in the box. She may need to exchange it if she already has one or if it doesn't fit in her car. |

| hmm.. if she wants to exchange it, she'll have a difficult time w/o a box. i know this is what she wanted, but mothers tend to change their minds if the item is not practical enough. And for some reason, because all those boxes were damaged and there was no paperwork in the box, that makes me think, someone returned them! but do what you planned, and make sure you also put a gift receipt in the carseat underneath the teddy bear! |

| sure, that would be so cute, she will love that, the teddy bear is a good idea, just explain to her that the box wasn't any good, keep the reciept, just in case and maybe keep the box too, and ask her if she wants the box or if you can just throw it away. |

| I definitely would rather receive a boxed item. Why? Because if I dont like it or it doesn't work for my I can take it back, and most places require a returned item to be boxed |
