| I was looking to buy some gift cards and I came across this condition: "Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash or applied to your credit accounts except where required by law."Now I'm wondering what areas of this country (USA) are consumers are allowed to pay off the credit accounts like a Macy's credit card, with GC's. I ask this because usually you can get a discount using a Macy's credit card but also I'm able to receive discounts on gift cards from a corporate discount. Now I can save double if I can pay off my Macy's card with my Macy's GC's. I live in California and we have pretty good laws about gift cards like no service fees or expiration dates with a few minor exceptions, so I know these kinds of laws vary state to state. But alas, I was unable to google this kind of information. Thanks for sharing you intel. |
