Don't know if the registry is just for the wedding gift? If I don't buy from the registry what kind of gift should I get. How much should I spend?

No - you can definitely buy it from the registry. Or you can get a gift card for her where she is registered...but generally people buy from the registry for both the bridal shower and the wedding gifts - the bachelorette party however, you can use your imagination :)Good luck!

Buy from the registry, or give cash or a gift card. I would say that spending about $50 is average for a shower.

I would keep it at a 20 dollar limit. For my wedding shower, I wouldn't care where or what people got me; i'd be okay just playing games and getting to socialize, no gift necessary. I think the best thing is to get something the couple can use: kitchen stuff is the best!!! Get a mixing bowl(cermaic is best), a spatula, cook book, and a few baking mixes like cookies and brownies. Throw in a cut dish towel to throw it all together :)Best of luck!

buy from the registry or buy a gift card or give cash. Speaking from my own experience, it's so much nicer to get something that you want to make your house exactly the way you want, than to get something that doesn't go with anything you have or are getting. Don't take the chance, get her what you know she'll love.

Yes, buy from the registry. You're guaranteed she'll like whatever you get since she picked it out. Or you could always get a giftcard to one of the stores they are registered at. How much you spend is up to you - it depends on how close you are to the couple & your own personal budget for events like this.

When i went to a bridal shower, i decided to get something that was not on the registry because i felt like this gift should be just for her and she could share it w/her husband to be if she wanted. I wanted to get her something fun. I actually bought her some bath stuff from bath and body works because i wanted to give her something that would be relaxing that she could use before the big day.

The registry is for the bridal shower. Most people give a gift of money for the wedding. I would say $40 minimum.

The registry these days is basically for the shower. For the wedding you give a monetary gift.

Spend whatever you are comfortable spending. Is this a close friend, relative or coworker. If you know what she likes go ahead and be creative. You can glance at the registry for "ideas" then do your own thing if you want.

Buy from the registry unless you know the bride very well. If you are going to spend the money, you should spend it on something you know she'll like. The registry is full of things that the bride would like.
