So, we have a few gift cards & thought we would spend them getting the remaining registry items. Well, I just looked noticed that there were registry items listed as purchased that we never received as gifts?! Our Bed, Bath & Beyond registry states that all of the kitchen utensils we registered for have been purchased, but no one ever gave them to us. I wonder if the store made a mistake? Of if we will receive a late present? Maybe we pissed someone off, and they decided to keep our gift, lol.

Sometimes mistakes happen. If they puchased on line and then returned them to the store for something else and the list wasn't updated. You may be able to ask the store if they can look up the purchase but I wouldn't worry about it.

Sometimes, people buy things and then return them because they decided to get something else. Most of the time, the stores don't put it back on your registry. Did your wedding take place yet? Maybe someone bought something for your shower and your wedding and didn't give it to you yet. Or, if either of you have a birthday coming up, or someone is ahead of the game for Christmas. There are lots of reasons why.

Well, if you didn't get them, it doesn't matter if they are checked off your registry or not. (Although, that is weird!) Buy the stuff you want, and save the receipts. If you do get some late gifts, you can return the things you purchased. We had our registry at Bed Bath and Beyond too, and they were really good about returns and exchanges, and just credited our gift card.

This could be a mistake from the store or the customer. Sometimes people will purchase one thing, change their mind and return it to get a larger item, but the store either neglects to place the returned items back on the registry OR the customer neglects to tell the cash register person to place the items back on the registry. Chances are, you received a larger, more expensive gift in place of a bunch of kitchen utensils.
