| I'm meeting my girlfriend's parents for the first time. We’ve heard you should bring a gift, but we’re not sure what.We’re traveling from New York to Edinburgh, Scotland, so the usual gifts of wine and flowers aren't suitable.I don't want to look like I'm coming on too strong, so my gf and I think it would be best to get something from us both.What do you think would be good? No flowers or wine!Thanks. |

| What about one of them small boxes of chocolate? Theres like six in there and you can get it wrapped nicely, they come from Thorntons, but I dont know if you get that in New York LOL .Maybe a nice photo frame or something.x |

| Why not a nice but not too expensive necklace pendent for the mother and a bottle of real scotch for the father or a nice box of cigars? |

| Give them a small but meaningful gift like maybe a key ring!!! no just joking maybe ask your girlfriend what her parents like and go from there but keep its simple nothing they wont think is to out there and nothing to make them think your trying to hard... |
