Cash is good - but if that is impersonal-personal to you - how about gift cards?

If the bridal couple didn't register anywhere- they want cash or gift cards. Stick with that- you can't go wrong. It is the thought that counts. And you are thinking right if you're thinking money.

My top five things to buy when you don't know what to buy--because anyone can use these things:-towels: get nice ones in a basic color.-ice cream maker: most people don't have 'em and they're great fun.- a beautiful photo album-a bread machine-a Netflix subscription, along with some gourmet popcorn and/or movie candies.

Crock pot, coffee maker with timer, rice cooker, ice cream machine, stand mixer[if your budget allows, get an Artisan], food processor, George Foreman grill. All of the above are popular ones. If your bride and groom have not been out on their own yet, a set of baking dishes like Pyrex or Corningware[my set has platic and glass lids], a box of nice quality cookware. As I always say, call one of the mothers of the couple and ask point blank if they want money or appliances.

Bringing a gift to a wedding is a little old fashion now. Most couples don't want to deal with them at the reception or having to bring them home after wards.Card with cash, check or gift card.Or send the gift to them before the wedding.
