I've been given the task of hosting a couples baby shower. They do not know what they are having and they are thinking of going with the theme "down on the farm" for their nursery.I'm looking for ideas to help make it unique and fun.I'm open to suggestions...any suggestions.Theme?? Games?? Something other than, eat food and watch the couple open gifts. Thanks for all of you great ideas... I really appreciate it...I only have a few weeks to put this together.I personally am not a fan of couples showers, but I guess my "friends" want the involve the men so they have an idea of what is going on. This will be a late afternoon party.

make the theme for the party down by the farm--get everyone cowboy hats, games you can wrap a glass cow, or a paperweight farm animal lots of times, and send it around the circle, whoever opens it last gets the paperweight and a 5$ starbucks gc... put an x on the bottom of the plate... have farm plates and napkins and on the cake put something with y'all...etc.

well a baby shower is just a anothor word for getting drunk with thier babys what is silly to me really so i think you should treat the baby to bubbles, cake, give them loads of attention make then see other babys see what they think it all about them at the end of the day

If you have to have a couples shower then make sure it is at a place where the guys can escape for a minute, either to watch a game or have a beer or whatever. This is definately not at the top of the list of fun things for a guy to do in fact my hubby d@mn near cries everytime we are invited to one!

i went to a baby shower once where we each got blank bingo cards. we then wrote into the spaces what gifts we thought they would get, and played bingo while she was opening them. i thought that was cute.you could play 'guess mommy's tummy' I've seen this done 2 ways. first, you use string and each guest has to guess how many inches around the mommy is. the second is the same except you use toilet paper and guess how many sheets. i think the second one is better because you're not putting a number on her size to make her feel bad. hormones can make her feel sad about something like that."don't say baby" each guest gets a clothespin or necklace (like mardi gras beads) and if they say baby, the first person to call them on it gets their necklace/clothespin. who ever has the most at the end wins.you can take the lables off baby food and have people try to guess what flavor it is by tasting it.as for theme, just decorate in yellows and greens.

A game that we had a couple's shower for the guys (which they loved) was who can drink beer from a bottle the fastest. We bought a bunch of bottles from the dollar store and had them face off. It was a hit at the party. If you don't want to do beer you can use just about any drink. It is just funny seeing them trying to drink out of a bottle.

Try melting different chocolate bars and putting them in diapers. Make the guests guess which brand they are... We had a lot of fun with that at mine!

How fun...you should make a sign to put outside of the party place that says It's a baby Y'all! and get farm themed plates and cups and your cake you could do so many things with your cake...You could make it a place where if the guys wanna leave they could escape for a minute...like a house so that tv is an option to them..Play some games like wrap her belly in toilet paper and have guest guess how many sheets it took or you could get 4 different candy bars and 4 diapers and melt the candy bars in the diaper and have the guest guess wich candy bar is in wich diaper..Hope my advice helped...It would be a blast hope you have fun!

Okay....I have a baby shower guide on my website. This is a unique baby shower guide with GREAT ideas for new and sentimental activities at the baby shower. Celebrating baby is a fun and exciting thing....but this time of year a lot of people have already been to one or two showers. You want to throw a shower that is memorable and captures the EXCITEMENT of the occasion, right?Check out the site and click on the BABY SHOWER GUIDE button. I think you'll find a lot of great ideas that aren't typical and boring.Good luck planning.....and have a ball!
