| Anyone ever thrown one? I have a friend out in CA that is far away from all of her close friends and family, and I want to throw a shower for her, but obviously we can't all make it out there. I was thinking of a way to do it online, like send the gifts to her, but make her wait to open them until we have a chat on IM and we can chat and have her open her presents??? That seems kind of lame to me though, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? |

| Hmm never heard of one or had one but i have the best idea in my head. Set a date. All of you guys get into one private chat room and get "theme" COLORED FONTS ..((Pinks, blues, greens etc)) everyone send her the gifts a week or two weeks and advance (just to be on the safe side)..she types you guys what she opened who sent it and what she thought of it. Now if she has web cam it will be so much more easier and real so you guys can see for yourselves her reaction and the gift. Then everyone can all talk and chat about the gifts and etc. Hope this idea helps! |

| everyone get webcams and have a conference. send the gifts a month ahead. have little sayings and poems ready to read. play some baby word games or something. |

| Its hard to do in this time and age, u need a virtual hologram appearance machine thing,which will probably be available in a few decades.meanwhile I think your solution is the best, sending her smth online, and calling/chatting during the baby shower. |
