Don't. Fathers day is there to celebrate your dad. Since he isn't in your life, there's no point in celebrating him.

If you are thinking of him this Fathers Day,a card would be sufficient.A gift is not necessary .

Does he take the time out to buy you gifts for your birthday, christmas or just because he loves you? I'm sure your just wanting to be included in his life. I grew up without our father too. To this day, he doesn't take the time out to even call to say hi. You never know tho, he might welcome your gift and do the same for you. Just don't be to disappointed if he doesn't. maybe a card with a picture of you for starters...good luck.

Send him a card with a letter inside. Since you don't really know him it would be difficult to buy him a gift. It's obvious that you've been thinking about him because you asked this question. If you want your father in your life then you should at least make the attempt to send him something recognizing him as your dad. In the letter just tell him how you feel, that you would like to get to know him (if that's how you feel, that is) etc, etc. It doesn't have to be sappy or anything, just a sort of hello note. It's hard not having a parent involved in your life, and it's only natural that you would want it. Good luck, I hope for your sake he responds and you two can work out a relationship.

One possibility is a simple card. Inside the card write a message to your father honestly expressing your thoughts and feelings. If there are things that he has done for you for which you feel grateful, mention those. Also if you would like to see more of him, you might suggest that the two of you get together and talk sometime so you can get to know each other better. The article referenced below offers some more ideas for how to write a Father's Day card.
