Our daughter will be just three months old on father's day, and I'd like to get him something special, from me, under $100. Do you have any gift ideas that would be appropriate? He is 30 years old, an outdoorsy type...I just want it to be special. For mother's day he got me a $100 gift certificate to the spa I went to the day before our wedding day because I got my first facial and I loved it...that is not the spa I go to regularly which is why I thought it was so thoughtful-he remembered that's where I got the facial and told me to get another one. So I'd really like to make him feel the way he made me feel!

Get a reliable babysitter and do something that will remind him of the day you met and then do something so sensual that he will never forget why he married you! Idea: Take a crash course in belly dancing and when he sees you in that sexy clothing, it will be all over!!

How about a hot-air balloon ride? Photobook? Or one of the "new dad" keepsakes? Tickets to his favorite game? Check out http://www.mensbestgifts.com - they have some unique ideas.

I am in the exact same dilemma...my husband took care of our 5 week old daughter and sent me on a day to the spa for Mother's Day as well. So now I am trying to come up with an equally thoughtful gift for his first father's day! One thought was to schedule a portrait session for him and our baby so he could have a beautiful framed picture for Father's Day. Hard to make that a surprise, though. There are also some websites that will turn an existing photo that you might have of the two of them into an oil painting for close to $100. I haven't used any of them, but it is something else I am considering. Here are two I have found.http://www.portrait2000.comhttp://www.mydavinci.com/7/home.jspI will be eagerly watching to see if any dads suggest something that they would have liked to be given! Good Luck.
