Okay, for my wedding Im donig a country theme. They are long 8ft banquet tables, im going to do ivory table linens, with a tan burlap runner. At each place setting I'll have a bright yellow napkin floded with their gift on each one. I'll have wine glasses and each table as well. On the runner I'll have 2 buckets of flowers. Not just shoved in there but nice and orgainezed. Sunflowers, snaps, all that good stuff. Then im thinking about buying these laternshttp://davidsbridal.com/gifts_detail.jsp...the white ones and placing them in between the buckets so i'll have 3 at each table. is that enough or should i put some more candles, or like sprinkle some yellow rose petals, my main color is yellow, accented with browns and tans. Im just trying to imagine it and it seems so bland. please tell me any ideas! Thankyou!!! oh ya my flowers are sunflowers.http://davidsbridal.com/gifts_detail.jsp?sfc=125&pid=1564 the other one dont work sorry.

Your link isn't working.I think the runners with flowers and candles would look nice. I think sprinkling rose petals, etc. around might make it look a bit busy once all of the cutlery, plates, glasses, etc. are on the table.

I think it sounds cute, but I agree with the other poster about the rose petals. Also, when I think if "country" stuff, I think of blue gingham. Maybe you could incorporate that pattern somehow? Just a suggestion. Good luck! |

What you're doing sounds nice. My daughter (the princess) married a cowboy last summer and we did the wedding theme a combo of fairytale / country - it was so cute. The Internet is full of country / cowboy stuff but it's not always easy to find. One thing we did find was confetti that had horseshoes, boots & spurs and cowboy hats. It was an erodescent white that picked up the candle light really well and that added a little more to the table w/o being too busy or too full. You could also scatter straw or hay or something just to fill in between your buckets and lamps.

I think you have a great image of what you are looking for. I think that the idea on the tables is great. Less really is more. I am going for the "not so cluttered" look. 1. The table runner helps make it look better without adding too much. If you get a brown one, then yes a few small sunflowers sprinkled along the runner would look amazing.2. Also, I think it would be cute for a country wedding to use little barrel flower holders.3. I think that sunflower seeds would be a neat favor. It has that country feel to it.I hope this helps.

I think it sounds great with just the buckets and the lanterns. Like some others have said, less is more. I would, however, maybe place the lantern on some small piece of linen in a coordinating color...a bandana or something? Just something to make them pop a little more.I would not even think about using straw in the same room as candles, though.
