I'm buying for the attendants only. We are not having flower girls or ringbearers. We are ordering corsages for our Moms and boutenierres for the Dads, not giving them gifts. They will all get special photos (paid for by us) AFTER the wedding, but thats the extent of it. If they were contributing to or paying for the wedding, I think a Thank You gift might be in order - but they aren't doing that in our case.

I will be getting something for my mum as she has helped me out heaps with the wedding. I think if they played a part in the wedding, whether it be planning, financial or just opinions when asked for them then get them a gift. If they did nothing then dont get them one.It doesn't have to be anything big...I am only buying for wedding party and parents.

we bought picture frames for our parents from www.jessicaswedding.com. they came with an engraved plate with our wedding date and names on them and where really pretty glass with mother of pearl flowers. the best part is they were cheap (only $25 each). You can't go wrong with a picture present for your parents Very Happy

I got gifts for my wedding party as you mentioned. I also got:Our parents got BIG gifts, as they had all given SO much in order to make the wedding happen. Our readers got little gifts, just a token of our appreciation. My cousin played the organ as our wedding gift. I got him a small gift as well. (Chocolate, as a thank you)My aunt was the "wedding planner" that the church required. This was a TOTALLY messed up situation, but anyway...we got her a box of chocolates as well.We also got our grandparents a small frame and put a picture in it.FYI: My "small gifts" were gourmet chocolate from Godiva. They were having a sale, and we got six boxes of chocolates and four "wedding cake" chocolates for $40 total. (Generally, the "cakes" alone are $20 for four!) I think we spent about $900 - $1000 for all the gifts combined, except the parents. (Ten attendants, two flower girls plus all the chocolates and frames) We bought jewelry cases and necklace/earing sets for the girls. The boxes were all engraved with a "(Name)Thanks so much. Love, (Bride) and (Groom) (date)" For the guys we got them pocket watches, again engraved with "Thanks (Groom) and (Bride)" with their initials on the other side. For the flower girls we bought frames, engraved with their name and our names, a wedding picture to be added. We also bought them a bunch of fun kid stuff (what 2 or 5 year old wants a frame, really?).
