| like if you were in a relationship w/ someone and you had a child w/ them, then you broke up (divorced). Would you send flowers or a gift basket to your ex if he/she had a baby?would you remain friends w/ your ex? would you give them life christmas gifts or send a card?any personal experiences?"like" not life -----sorry |

| Yes I would make it as simple as possible when there is a child involved. Wars between ex's are uncalled for. |

| it seems like your ex is just trying to be civil. At least he's not an a**. Since you have kids together it seems like he's trying to keep things good between you, so I'd take it as a good thing |

| There is a child involved here so you and your ex will be involved with each other for many years if only to discuss the child. It would be better for the child if the two of your maintained a friendly relationship.Yes, sending cards on holidays and special occasions would be appropriate. |

| I think exs should act like that when they are children involved. My sister's husband and his ex wife are horrible to each other and they have an 11 year old daughter together. Believe me, the children suffer when there is rivarly against their parents. |

| Too right you should remain friends or at least civil. You have a child together and for the sake of that child who now has a step sibling you should be freindly. Makes life soooo much easier in the long run.A card and some flowers would be lovely to send, and at christmas, a card and box of choc's. Nothing too expensive, just enought to keep up a friendship, for your child. |
