Ok so for my daughter 2nd party I boughta birthday pack and the theme is "teddy bear tea party". Originally I was only going to invite a hand full of kids about 4 or 5. But I have alot of kids that I want to invite from my daughters daycare, church friends, and close familiy friends. So I am looking at about 15 kids more or less. I guess my question is how should I do the setup for the kids. We are going to have the party outside in our backyard, because of the theme being a "tea party" I was going to have each kids bring their favorite teddy bear or baby doll. As the guest arrived I was going to sit them down in their seats with the b-day girl and beginning serving them food(finger foods) after they all ate I would let them just play for a little bit then we would have the pinata, birthday cake, and gifts and that would be about it. Do you think I should stick with that plan or just let the kids come and play and eat at their own time since they are so young?Or would it be better to let each kid come and play with whatever toys are outside and just play and then let the parents feed them whenever they want to eat, and then do the pinata, cake and gifts please give me your feedback. Attach is a copy of what they theme pack looks like.http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=catalogProducts.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=12&sku=PT565&prodCatId=378061&mode=Browsing&erec=6&No=0&sp=true&Ntk=all&Ntx=mode%252bmatchallpartial&cm_re=PS-_-PPack-_-F2L5&N=378061&sd=Teddy+Bear+Tea+Party+Party+Pack |

Two year olds are not going to be very responsive to a structured party. Make it easy and go with the flow. Have food available all the time so kids can eat when they are hungry. Don't expect them to keep their interest for very long. Yes, do a pinata but don't expect them all to wait their turns.15 kids might be a handful. I think I've read that you should only invite as many kids as the birthday kid's age times 2. So for your daughter that would be 4. If you do have that many kids be sure to have a lot of adults you can count on for child supervision.

2 year olds with a stick.Hmmm... Maybe individual grab bags maybe not a pinata, you might consider getting the older sisters (teenager) of some of the guests to do face painting, if you can. I'd let them run around until the guests all arrive, then sit them down to eat, instead of making them sit right away

great idea! my sister did the teddy bear tea party as well, but instead of having a pinata, maybe you should have some family do face painting.

oh boy - 2 is awfully young - you're apt to have a crying birthday girl with this much structure going on. Have a lot of parental help with that many children and let them do what they want when they want - eat when they are hungry, play on outside toys - kind of let them plan the day and you go with the flow. Either that or cut the number WAY back - I have always heard to invite however many children the birthday child is so that would be only 2! good luck and try to enjoy your little girl's birthday and not make it so much work for you and stressful for her.

I would sit them all down to eat at the same time to eat, after they had a chance to play for a bit. I know if my 2yo saw some kids playing (the ones who got their earlier and finished eating) while he is suppose to be eating, I would have a horrible time trying to get him to stay in his seat LOL. I think pinatas are better for older kids. At this age, feelings would get hurt if they all didn't get candy or have to share, plus hard candies are a choking hazard. You could get a pinata that has the strings that they all pull and only fill it with confetti, then give all the kids a goody bag filled with a small container of bubbles, lollypops, and teapot shaped cookie in a pretty cello bag. You can make some of these wrist ribbons (or ribbon sticks) in your daughter's birthday colors and put them in the bag. Then put on fun music and the kids can dance and twirl with the ribbons. I know my 1yo and 2 yo would love these. http://www.orientaltrading.com/application?namespace=browse&origin=browseProductMain.jsp&event=link.itemDetails&demandPrefix=11&sku=61/6006&xsaleSku=61/6001&cm_sp=Cross%2520Sell-_-Product%2520Detail-_-+Product%2520DetailIt sounds like a great party. I hope she has a great time.
