He is turning about 50 and he likes to collect wine but I always get him wine for every occasion so I was hoping for something different. He loves to cycle too wondering if you could help, thanks.

Being he likes to cycle, maybe something for his bike or if he needs new cycling equipment. Is there a bottle of wine that he's been wanting? There are websites that you can personalize the labels or etch the bottles, they say Happy Birthday or you can put on them what you want. One of them is celebrationcellars.com if not it's spelled celebrationcellers.com also personalcreations.com also sells them. You can personalize a wine bottle for him which I'm sure he doesn't have if he collects wine, he would appreciate that!Does he have a wine refigerator? I'm sure he has a wine cellar for his wine, but does he have a refigerator for the ones that he's drinking? You can get him that. What about nice wine goblets? Riedel is supposed to be the best and the ones without the stems are the newest things in wine goblets. What about taking him out to dinner to a Winery? There's places that have experience gifts and you can set it up that he has a day at a winery, you can set up a day there and have a whole wine tasting, they even have ones where they do wine tasting parties at the person's home. Maybe something like that. What about taking him to a new bike trail for the day and out to dinner or lunch later. Being he likes to bike he may enjoy a new bike trail and the new scenery. What about a bottle of wine in the year he was born? Getting him some bottles in the year he was born and then one from this year to mark his birth and his 50th birthday. I hope these help and that your friend has a great 50th Birthday!

Every birthday means he is getting older! So, why don’t you “immortalize” him at 50 by getting a really cool-looking portrait made from his best photo? Just send the photo(s) to the professional and creative artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will make very unique and classical-looking portraits or paintings out of them! You can send them instructions to send the portrait directly to him – with a personalized message from you if you like! The same company also makes wonderful photo prints on canvas in various designs. Visit http://www.photo-print-on-canvas.com

Being that he is a wine lover, I'd strongly suggest going for a bottle with a personalized label. I gave a bottle of personalized wine to my brother in-law for his 40th, and he really loved it. Most of the websites out there let you either upload a picture of a design that you want to include on the label and/or upload specialized text.
