It's always polite to bring a little gift.....I like taking candles or a bottle of wine.

sounds like a housewarming party to me. you could take something small for the house. if you know his/her style you could pick something out or you could always play it safe and take a plant or something along those lines.....

You can if you want to. I would bring a nice bottle of wine, nice house plant or possibly a picture frame. Anything along those lines should be fine. Wine's probably the easiest, provided they drink wine.

maybe a small gift like yeah flowers or some other kind of plant. or somthing like cups, plates, something or anything they can use around the house or if they dont have things like that that would be good... im guessing no matter what you buy them they'll like it.

yes you should bring a gift, especially if they're considered a good friend :)what to bring is the question lol...... now i was thinking a beautiful wall hanging that you can get for a great price at places like wallmart or target. people that move are very eager to decorate their new home, so get your good friend something that will definately liven the place up! plus it will always remind them of you and their big move ;)food is also a good idea. last thing they wanna do is cook after a long day of moving in.

Yes, a nice bottle of wine is pretty much the standard of a gift when you come to their home for the first time. Since this is a good friend you could bring something with a more personal touch, something that reflects his interests for his new home, a picture or something to add to the new home.

Gerbera daisies are in season now ( I saw potted ones at walmart today) they are pretty and inexpesive.I wouldn't bring wine-they'd probably think they should share it with everyone so not really a gift just for homeowner---You could always get a Yankee jar candle for around twenty bucks- those are really nice and you rarely buy them for yourself.....(get a pleasing scent like vanilla or apple cinnamon-something most everyone likes)

I think that it would be nice to bring something small for a house welcoming gift. If this is his first house try think of something small he might need that he did not have say in his apartment ( i can not really think of anything because i am still in my apartment) but you can also get a small basket of treats. Just to make him feel welcomed at him home. And the reason why i say keep it small is that his probably unpacking and trying to find room for everything still.
