I got quite a few things off of my registry, but it was far from fulfilled. It was fine though, because a lot of people got us stuff not on our registry that we loved.

i havent done my wedding registry yet, but if its anything like my baby registry....i only got about 5 things off of it, when there was 2 different ones with probably 30 things on each. no big deal though. i ended up getting a lot of other really neat things at the baby shower though. its the thought that counts.

The majority of my guests got us stuff off the registry. I'd say probably 90% of our presents were off our registry.

Everyone bought our gifts off our registry (minus one aunt). Personally, I always buy gifts off people registries- I know they will like it and want it. It makes things so much easier |

For my bridal shower, a total of 4 (out of way, way more) gifts were not off the registry. The items not on the registry were: lingerie (2), picture frames, and photo albums. All very appreciated, but I'm so glad we got mostly registry gifts! We also got alot of gift cards to the store we registered at (BB&B), and about $500. Oh yeah, I had a great time!

I know of Brides and Grooms who received 75 - 90% of the items on their registry. And I know of Brides and Grooms who did not receive any of the gifts that they registered for.So what's the difference? Being realistic! No one is going to give you a gift that does not fit into the Bride and Groom's lifestyle or they do not own themselves.I know of a Bride who's china pattern was listed as "special order." Now this came from a Bride whose parents did not have matching dishes or glassware or silverware in their home at all. Her china pattern was so expensive that she did not even receive the salt and pepper shaker. And she was quite upset (angry) that no one had purchased this china for her.Answered by: A Certified wedding specialist / A Professional bridal consultant / A Wedding ceremony officiant

I always give cash/ check. As a bride who just got 4 blenders, a coffee maker and I don't drink coffee and a bar set and my fiance and I don't drink...I couldn't bestow such pain on another bride...Alot of people got me things off my registry but forgot to print out the sheet, now I have multiple items and most didn't come with receipts.

Well, for my wedding shower I was pleased to have most of my registry items fulfilled. That said, I thought the same would happen for my baby shower. But no. I put so much thought and research into what I needed for the baby, and most of the important things I registered for were left unfulfilled. Even though I received many other great gifts, they were gifts I didn't need anywhere near as bad and now I need about $500 to go buy the stuff that was left on the registry. I don't want to complain but I'm perturbed that people just didn't stick to my registry. It pisses me off to be quite frank. Thanks for listening.
