We graduated together in high school, and were fairly close friends since we competed in all the same activites and sports. We attend the same college now, but really only speak to each other if we happend to run into one another on campus. There was no registry in the invitation I received for her wedding, so I'm not sure what I could get her, but I know I want to get her something! What do you think would be appropriate?

Cash, around 75-100 dollars at least to cover your expense if you are going alone

Cash. It's really what people want anyway. Give her the cash and she can buy what she wants... and she can send you a photo and say "Thanks for this awesome toaster.... your $100 bucks was put to good use!" It is what I would want at least.

If all else fails, money is always acceptable. Or, even a gift certificate.
