| Every time I hug her she always coughs and I don’t hug her hard, just a friendly hug. I only hug her if she gave me a Christmas/birthday gift. I don’t hug her a lot like other some girls do. Why does she do that?we use to hug alot in high school. and i am a girl.and she leans on me too, she is a touchy feeling person.btw we not in high school no more... |

| somepeople are not the hugging sort or they come from families where there is little hugging and so are embarrassed. Either don't hug her anymore or next time ask her if you could hug her and see what she says. |

| Maybe she feels uncomfortable. I'm kinda like that, like I know it's friendly, but sometimes I get the thought that if someone sees me hugging another chick, they might think the wrong thing. Just ask her though. |

| well may be she feels awkward.and this may sound rude n childish but now a days ppl make a joke of the lesbian thing.i mean if they every see two good friends sharing a frindly hug,they start talking all crap about them.in school this kind of talk is highly restricted but in college,,,,,,,most ppl have a devil's mind.your friend may not mind the hug at all but she may be saving your skin by avoiding the hug.trust me ppl can get under your skin by calling you lesbians.friendship lies in the heart.yopur friend likes you for sure .and yes don't develop inferiority complex thinking that you smell.you might b just fine |
