I know Christmas is like 6 months away but I'm always thinking about it. About the average cost of gifts each Christmas is about 300 dollars for me and my sister. I'm 13 btw. In 2006 for Christmas I got a Nintendo Wii and a game. Last year I got an iPod Touch 8GB. This year I would like a Sidekick Slide and Nintendo DS Lite. I know that Sidekick Slides are 200 dollars on the site, but at Walmart they are 100 dollars. We are currently on AT&T, but I would pay the monthly bills from T-Mobile. A DS Lite is about 130 dollars which would leave me about 70 dollars for DS games. Do you think this sounds like a reasonable Christmas present for WHAT WE CAN AFFORD. Don't say "HOW OUTRAGOUSSLY EXPENSIVE THAT IS" because we could probably afford it.

If that is the price range that is given, then I do not see anything wrong with your choices. Don't worry about what others will think or say...it is the gifts you want and that is all that matters.(((hugs)))

If that is what you guys can afford why not!!! But always remember how lucky you are. You are worrying right now what to get for Christmas while other kids your age are worrying if they will eat tonight. Try giving a little of your money to charity. I promise it's the best feeling you'll ever feel.

Seems like you should be telling whoever buys your gifts. What you all spend on your gifts is up to you and your parents. If they can afford $300 for gifts, then you should be looking for gifts like you are. Can I be in your family? |

The Ninentendo one is probably better since you don't want to phone bills coming in every month. Plus you would have a little more money to buy games for the ninentendo.

Christmas is more than 6 months away. In that amount of time, you could work and save up money and buy your own cell phone plan. I just don't think that people are really thinking about Christmas gifts yet, and who knows how your mind might change in another 6 months. maybe something even better will come along!
