I have recently reconnected with a classmate that I had not seen for years. We have become close friends.She is in the middle of a divorce, so both money and self esteem are in short supply.My daughters told me in confidence, that part of her problem with self esteem may be her bra! She is a fairly attractive woman, but you can tell that her undergarment was not well chosen.Last week the girls and I got new bras and I told her I had a 'truely uplifting experience'' and it made me feel physically better. She said the last bras she got were some her husband (soon to be ex) picked out for her 2 1/2 years ago.We would like to get her a gift certificate for bras, but we don't know how to give it to her without hurting her feelings.She is a truely wonderful person, and we would not in any way wish to hurt her feelings IN ANY WAY!

Then don't do it. I don't think it's an appropriate gift at all. But since you've talked to her about this, then just go shopping with her. During your shopping, make sure you go near the bra area or a bra store. Then mention the conversation you recently had with her. See what she says, and go from there.

Sometimes it's worth hurting someone's feelings to help them. She may actually thank you later. Why don't you tell her you want to take her shopping and have her fitted while you're out.

u should let her know that u really care for her, and that u want her to feel her best. she will understand. u guys are friends right? so if u care for her, give her the certificet thingy, and tell her that u will go with her if she wants.

dont get a gift certificate specially meant for bras. get her a victoria secret gift card. they mainly sell lingerie. maybe she'd decide 2 pick one from there when she steps into the store, or online. most of the bras are nice from victoria secret

wow this is kind of a tricky one. it could go both ways, she could see it as you are hinting that she needs better under garments, or she could see it as something thoughtful. get her a gift card at victoria secret or someplace that has cute bras. then as she proceeds to open it, tell her how much of a friend she means to you and that you know that she is going through a little bit of a rough patch. then, in a somewhat joky matter, say that maybe you and her could go cute bra shopping sometime and have a fun girls afternoon. hope this helps! best wishes

if she is truly wonderful like you said then she should be fine with it i would love to get a gift certificate for bra's just tell her you mean no offense you just thought it would be fun to go bra shopping with her

I say, give her a gift certificate tyo victoria's secret, then say let's go pick out stuff together, then when ur there say why dont u get one of these. and get one for yourself too.plus victorias secret has this service where they meaure u and pick out the rioght bra for ur size, its the best thing you can do for yourself!

instead of just getting her a gift certificate invite her out shopping and casually wander on into a lingerie store. if you are uncomfortable with that then get her the certificate it shouldn't hurt her feelings especially if she herself recognizes her need for proper fitting bras. why not make a day out of it and get fitted with her.

It's inappropriate. But maybe you can all go out to the mall to shop and have lunch, the girls can bring up the place they went and great the undergarments are. But not you.
