|

| We've been good friends and we actually like each other but I didn't ask her out for some reason. I've known her for 1 school year. She is turning 16 but I'm older than her by 5 months. She invited me on her birthday which will be on Sunday. Many of her friends are going too. It is going to be in a Chinese restaurant called "Beijing restaurant". What is the best gift that I can give to her? Thanks! |

It depends on your budget and what her tastes are actually - like if you don't have a lot of money available, you could make her a mix cd of her favorite songs and label it. If you have money available, then there are tons of ideas but you'll have to base them on her personality. (definitely base her gift on something you know about her - that will make it feel special!)There's a website with a customizable gift-finder that is really helpful for general ideas - you can customize it for her gender and age and occasion (the first link). When I was sixteen, I loved to get make-up, music, perfume, t-shirts - all types of things! There is an *awesome* perfume company online called Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab where the perfumes are oils and come in jars ("Jailbait" is a younger girl's favorite scent - but you can go through the descriptions of the perfumes and find one that would fit her personality) - this would be totally unique and not something she or her friends would typically have seen! I also loved bath and body stuff when I was that age - like soaps and sugar scrubs. These would be totally unique too (good etailers are Villainess, Lush, among others). A necklace based on her favorite character or a theme that you know she likes would be awesome also (for example, if she likes Alice in Wonderland or a movie or a certain band) then Etsy is a website where everything is very affordable, handmade, and unique, and you can search "necklace alice in wonderland" (for example) and find her a cool necklace. There are so many awesome choices - you can't go wrong!Good Luck |
