My fiance and I are going to attend a college graduation celebration. The party will be at an Irish Restaurant in New York City. The celebrant is the daughter of my fiance's old time friend. I am not going to get any material gift, so I need a suggested amount. How much money would be good to put in a card? Thank you.

Well here in Scotland, £20 (probably around 40 Dollars) would be acceptable although sometimes close relatives give more. Also to show you have put a bit of thought in to it why not buy a newspaper on the day and present it in some nice way as in a memory box or similar that the person will remember what went on the day they graduated? Here the names of the university students graduating on the day are named in our quality newspapers, so that would be all the better.

A monetary gift is not personal. If you have the time, order stationery with her name it. She will be looking for a job and following-up will be easy with the notes in hand. She will also think of you each time she uses it.Prices start at $24.95,quality designs and fast delivery.Click this hyperlink to view a selection of folded notes.http://www.classiccommunication.com/stationery_notes.htmEnjoy the celebration.
