| For example todays Fathers day.so i always send my Dad, something. a card, gift, etc.same with mothers day.I am just wondering since this is a Law in the Old and New testaments.that you should honor your mother and father.what would happen if you all of a sudden stopped honoring your parents and giving them the props they deserve according to the bible??Does the bottom fall out of your life.or does it gradually fall apart..does you life get difficult, harder to survive,more problems and bad things happen to your life?kind of like when God removed the hedge of protection around Job..so the Devil couldnt get at him?Anyone know this answer?? |

| Yes, life does get harder. Right now, I' am still living with my parents. I find that when I honor my parents as the Bible says, then I' am much happier. Also, I've spoken with other adults who have made the mistake of not honoring their parents once they left their house. They deeply regret this. They say that there is nothing like a good relationship with your parents. |

| Yes. You are not very far off. Honoring our parents is a way of training to honor our creator. God designed it that way to see if we would honor Him. |

| That is number five of The Ten Commandments. Thou shalt honor thy Father and thy Mother. If you finish reading the rest of that particular commandment, it is also the only one out of ten that promises that if you do this, you will add years to your life. look it up! |

| i feel life gets harder wenever u do something stupid that u arent suppose to...but dont worry, dont u remember...everyone sinsso chill out, no ones perfect..u can always correct wat u've done....i mean who ever hasnt sinned throw the first stone..u no wat i mean... |

| Exodus 20, it is the Only Commandment with a Promise, that your life will b long for doing it. In the New Testament it tells Fathers not to Provke their children to anger, Not to Abuse them Matthew 18, Not Discourage them and respect their Boundaries! Ephesians 6:4 |

| When you dont honor your parents you bring a curse upon yourself. It opens the door for all kinds of bad things to enter into your life. It opens the door for the devil and all his demons to come into your life. Some people dont believe in the scriptures but I am a firm believer and I do believe that when you dont honor your parents that you are cursing yourself. You may think that you are cursing your parents but you are bringing a curse upon yourself for not being obident to Gods word and to your parents.Honoring your parents mean treating them with respect it means loving them. You should Honor your parents at all times not just on Mothers and Fathers Day. Some may say well my parents are on drugs or they abuse me. I know its hard but you still have honor them because they helped to give you life. However if they are putting your life in danger you dont have to allow it for example if your dad rapes you, you have a right to tell but at the same time you dont have a right to take matters into your own hand and be disobident and disrespectful to them. Let God and the law handle it. But you must honor the ones who helped give you life. My dad is on drugs but I still respect him and dont look down on him instead I pray for him. |
