| I am staying with my friends family in China this summer and I need to buy her Uncle (older chinese man) a gift to bring with me. This means that food and wine are out of the question. I've poked around on thisnext.com, but nothing really stuck out.I was thinking of something for the office... anyone got an idea? |

| May be you can give something which is popular in your country eg:- if u live in Singapore give a showpiece of twin tower so that he can keep it in his home or office. There are many useful things like office bag ,an ink pen .Or if you don't get any thing at all buy flowers when you reach in china. |

| I strongly suggest that you talk with your friend and ask them what is "proper" to give to 1) someone in china, 2) an elder male, 3) as a gift from your country (you'd be bringing him a gift made in his own country, maybe that would be a compliment). ....but ask a Chinese person what gift to buy. |
